Electrical Technician Job Description(15) 

A great opportunity to be part of Megawatt Power & Telecommunication Company LTD team for a Metering project. We are looking for Electrical Technicians who will be responsible for installation of the meters at customer premises.

Roles of the Electrical Technicians will be:

• Installation of the meters at the specified customer premises within the project area
• Occasional collection of meters from the warehouse/store as per the requisition forms
• Ensure quality and standardized works done on site
• Adhere to safety rules as per the project guidelines
• Ensure daily targets and weekly milestones are met
• Do daily reports on work progress
• Participate in daily tool box talks every morning
• Ensure tools and equipment used are in good condition
• Take up work related assignments from Project Manager

Academics and Skills required for Electrical Technician are:

• Must have a minimum of a Diploma Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Must have an EPRA class C1 certificate
• Added advantages include; Wireman’s Certificate, HSE/FIRST AID Certification and driving license will be added advantages
• Must be a resident, or able to be a resident of Nairobi County or its environs for the project duration
• Ability to be a team player and act with integrity throughout the project duration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Time management skills; must be able to meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Willing to work extra hours to achieve targets and milestones
